Promises Made to the Fathers The Enochian Covenant

The Order of the Covenant God Made with Enoch 27 And thus, having been approved of God, he was ordained an high priest after the order of the covenant which God made with Enoch, 28 It being after the order of the son of God; which order came, not by man, nor the will of man; neither by father nor mother; neither by beginning of days nor end of years; but of God; (JST Gen. 14:27-28)

The Covenant God Made with Enoch To promises made to Enoch are found in Moses 7 (made with Enoch) And JST Genesis 9 (also made with Noah) And JST Genesis 14:25-40 (also with Melchizedek)

The Covenant God Made with Enoch Moses 7 Will not destroy the world by flood again (Moses 7:51) Will call upon the children of Noah (will call the posterity of Noah to repent and come unto Christ)—(Moses 7:51) Noah’s posterity “shall always be found among all nations, while the earth should stand” (Moses 7:52) Christ will come to the earth “in the last days” in a day of wickedness “but my people will I preserve” (Moses 7:61)

The Covenant God Made with Enoch Moses 7 Righteousness will “sweep the earth as with a flood, to gather out mine elect from the four quarters of the earth” unto . . . The Lord will establish an Holy City called Zion or New Jerusalem There the Lord shall be His “tabernacle” (cf. Amos 9:11; Davidic Covenant) My people may gird up their loins, and be looking forth for the second coming of Christ When Christ comes he will bring Enoch’s Zion with him to join the latter-day Zion and dwell with them through the Millennium. (Moses 7:62-65)

The Covenant God Made with Enoch— and Noah JST GEN. 9:20-22 Christ will not destroy the wicked by flood (vs 20) “When [Noah’s] posterity shall embrace the truth” and “keep all [God’s] commandments,” and “look upward” for the Lord’s second coming (vss 21-22) Then [Enoch’s] should “look downward” as they return to the earth with Christ—and with them will come “the general assembly of the church of the firstborn” and “possess the earth” (vs 22)

The Covenant God Made with Enoch— and Noah and Melchizedek JST GEN. 14:25-40 The order of the Son of God was called “the order of the covenant which God made with Enoch” God swore unto Enoch and unto his seed “with an oath by himself, that every one being ordained and calling should have power, by faith, to break mountains, to divide the seas, to dry up waters, to turn them out of their course; to put at defiance the armies of nations, to divide the earth, to break every band, to stand in the presence of God; to do all things according to [God’s] will (vss 30-31)

The Covenant God Made with Enoch— and Noah and Melchizedek JST GEN. 14:25-40 God swore with an oath “that the heavens and the earth should come together” “the sons of God should be tried so as by fire”

The Covenant God Made with Enoch— Esbalishes the Lord’s objective To Sum up the promises made to Enoch— God will not destroy men again by flood but would call upon them to repent In the last days, “the elect” will be gathered to Zion Christ will return and establish his tabernacle among them (Christ will return as King of Zion—the Lord’s government) With the return of Christ come’s Enoch’s Zion and all the righteous dead from Adam’s day to the last days and they will Zion the latter-day Zion and become one people with Christ as their King

The Covenant God Made with Abraham-- establishes how the Lord’s objective will be accomplished Abraham will have a posterity that will be a great nation (as numerous as the stars or the sand). This is the elect spoken of in Enoch’s covenant. Abraham’s posterity will have a land “when they hearken to my voice”(the idea being when Abraham’s posterity turns to God and obey’s his voice they have a place where they can worship God freely) Abraham’s posterity will have the Gospel and Priesthood

The Covenant God Made with Abraham-- establishes how the Lord’s objective will be accomplished Abraham’s posterity “shall bear this ministry and Priesthood unto all nations” and by them “shall all the families of the earth be blessed, even with the blessings of the Gospel, which are the blesings of salvation, even of life eternal.”
