Millions and Millions of Indian youth should acquire the skills which could contribute towards making India a modern country”.

IMPORTANCE OF SKILL DEVELOPMENT Skill development is an Important instrument in today’s Globalization. It is so important to increase the efficiency and quality of Labour for improved Economic Growth and Productivity. This is how India can become the main Global sourcing Hub for Skilled Employees. To make India a Developed Country it has to become Global Economic Powerhouse which needs to equip its workforce with employable Skills and Knowledge. Working Age Group in India is more that 62% of Population within the age group of 15 – 59 Years. Only 2% of the total employees in India have completed Skill Development Training. Skills and Knowledge are the driving forces for the community development and Financial growth of any country. Skill development is a powerful tool for any individuals to improve their social acceptance. The challenge what the Govt. is facing is not only expansion of facilities for skill training but also in rising their quality.

INITIATIVE TAKEN BY GOVT What is NSDC? ( National Skill Development Corporation) NSDC – National Skill Development Corporation was started in the year 2007. NSDC training program was started by Congress. The target was to train 8,33,333 people per year. NSDC trains in skill development in particular fields. NSDC is one of the Public Private Partnership in India. It acts like a catalyst in skill development. NSDC was setup as a part of a National Skill Development mission to fulfil the growing needs in India for Skilled manpower across the sectors.

BJP didn’t wanted to continue with the same name, and NSDC cant be dissolved .NSDC is a skill India Policy Design Maker. In 2015 PM Shri. Modi started a campaign “DIGITAL INDIA”. He has a mission to make India a Skilled Hub to the World. By 2025,his mission is to train 40 crore people in multiple skills. To accomplish this goal he has started PMKVY (Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana) program.

ICON Facilities Management Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Icon was registered in the year 2011. It is into Training and Placement of under privileged students through skill development program in Hospitality. How did Muditva enter Hospitality? PMKVY gives permission to only those companies for skill development training which have prior experience in that particular fields. Muditva has completely overtaken ICON in the year 2016, that is how it is into Hospitality Skill Development program.

What is PMKVY? Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana PMKVY is a program which is monitored by 3 Entities NSDC – Which designs the policy and monitors each and everything in policies. PMKVY is not giving training only in one industry, they need skilled people. They are available in different sectors. So PMKVY has chosen different sectors like BFSI, IT, Tourism etc. BFSI (Banking Financial Service, Insurance) – It is the major industry with entire world. It covers 40% of the Gross Revenue. IT – It is the 2nd sector a country needs Technological advancement. Telecom – Communication is a major Industry without communication we cannot do anything.
