Presentation transcript:

The manual transmission cars have the clutch which refers to the pedal exists to the left side of the brake and gas pedal.

The clutch pedal is used in manual transmission cars because it is required for disengaging the drive wheels and engine while driving.

If you don't need to apply much pressure to the clutch for disengaging the engine, then it indicates the slipping clutch.

You need to notice the slipping clutch of your car before it causes serious problems and sometimes cause an accident.

Below points define the signs of slipping clutch in your manual transmission cars.

Burning smell

When the clutch of your car slip, the burning smell comes from the transmission area and make you nauseous.

The burning smell is caused when the excess heat generated from the disengagement of the engine constantly as well as the slipping of a clutch.

Less engine power

When you are pulling the heavy load behind your car, then the engine sends a lot of power to the drive wheels.

Due to the slipping clutch, the engine unable to deliver the power and reduce the performance of the engine.

Fast disengagement

The disengagement between the engine and drive wheel is the biggest signs of slipping clutch in your car.

Due to the slipping clutch, your engine will disengage after you lightly press the clutch pedal down less than one inch.

High RPM

If the RPM of the engine is higher than the normal speed when you drive the car, then your car definitely has a slipping clutch issue.

In this instance, you need to drive your car at one set speed for a long time without going under or over the speed.

A difference in clutch height

Whenever you drive the car, you can use the clutch pedal from the floor. If you take your foot off the pedal, then it returns to the same height.

If you find that the pedal is too high or too low, then make sure that something is wrong with the clutch and cause clutch slipping issue.
