Presentation transcript:

Tree Removal: Tips to Follow While breeding trees is good practice, it may be impossible to save trees always. Tree removal may be the last resort, but it is a necessary evil in special cases. During a tree or stump removal, it is important to take safety and care into consideration. For this reason, there are basic safety guidelines for tree removal processes. Tree removal is a complicated process – it involves more than simple guesswork of where the tree will fall after cutting.  The initial step is tree inspection Tree removal should be put into consideration when ash borers attack the tree. Another case is when a homeowner needs to create more space in the home. But a bad reason is to want to cut the tree because it is dead. It is wrong to hurriedly take down the tree. Although the tree may appear to be dead, arboreal life is a complicated process. Hence, tree removal should always be a last resort. In cases of doubt, a professional arborist can run diagnosis and examinations on the tree to determine its condition. The process may involve simple removal of crown or cutting of limb instead of the whole tree. It is a win-win situation at the end of the day.  Usecorrectprotectivegearandadequatetree removal tools If you don’t have the right tools and equipment for tree removal, it’s best to avoid such situation. Some of the protective gear to have include googles to protect your eyes, helmets for head protection and comfortable work boots to keep your feet protected. To protect the hearing, use earplugs. For the protection of the hands, use gloves. Ensure that people are aware that you are working by wearing a visible vest on the property. Because there is safety in numbers, carry out tree removal process in a team.  Read guidelines and directions on equipment Follow the directions on heavy equipment before removing trees, limbs, or stumps. The hazardous risk that accompanies sharp equipment such as chainsaw cannot be overemphasized. More so, PPE must fit accordingly to avoid the risk of harm.

 Be informed While there may be great ideas about tree removal or felling, they may be wrong instincts. What if the idea does not take into cognizance the physics of the job, the surroundings, or intricacies of tree felling? Never assume anything in tree removal. As a word of caution, never use a truck to remove an aged tree. Also, do not remove a stump with a truck. It flouts the rules and regulations for tree removal. Asides putting property and family at risk, improper tree felling damages the truck as well. Also, outsource the work to experts in cases where the tree is close to buildings or electric lines.  Call an expert whenever you are in doubt A streak of doubt is sufficient to sound the alarm for real experts of tree removal. For instance, when the tree is besides a building or electric lines, tread with caution. In tree removal, there is a fine line between a beautiful looking property and damaged landscape.
