Web 2.0 By: Samantha, Jaden, Dorrian, and Cheney

Google it A collective term for certain applications of the Internet and the World Wide Web, including blogs, wikis, video sharing services, and social media websites such as Facebook and MySpace, which focus on interactive sharing and collaboration rather than simple content delivery. Web 2.0 refers to World Wide Web websites that emphasize user-generated content, usability (ease of use, even by non-experts), and interoperability (this means that a website can work well with other products, systems, and devices) for end users. Web 2.0 is the use of the World Wide Web to help users use the internet more efficiently and easily. Define it

Explain it to my grandma Web 2.0 is how the world wide web was created so it will explain how websites work and how people developed the web in second generation. The things that were made in the second generation made using the internet applications easier.

Find an example and explain it Examples- 1. Google Maps 2. Google Docs 3. Youtube 4. Facebook 5. Twitter Web 2.0 is the 2nd generation of the web. Web 2.0 does not refer to the changes in the way Web pages are designed and used. With Web 2.0 you can’t just get things from the internet but you can also contribute to the things on the internet. Web 2.0 is a step up from Web 1.0 and it made a big difference in the This picture shows some of the things represented by Web 2.0.

So What Web 2.0 is important because it explains how the internet was created and because the internet is now an important aspect of our society. Without Web 2.0, Google would not exist. And not just Google, but just about every other website and video game wouldn’t exist, either. So console games like fortnite and minecraft would be out of the question, since the creators of those games had to use Web Based programs to create the games. So, without Web 2.0, we would be missing a very important aspect of our society.
