Web 2.0 refers to World Wide Web websites that emphasize user-generated content, usability (ease of use, even by non-experts), and interoperability (this means that a website can work well with other products, systems, and devices) for end users. Explain it to my grandma Web 2.0 is how the world wide web was created so it will explain how websites work and how people developed the web in second generation. The things that were made in the second generation made using the internet applications easier.

So console games like fortnite and minecraft would be out of the question, since the creators of those games had to use Web Based programs to create the games. So, without Web 2.0, we would be missing a very important aspect of our society.
