The main objective of the Centre is to promote cooperation among institutions, research centers and maritime and fishery sector and encourage the involvement of dependent sectors of the sea in R + D + I and promote the efficiency of all activities related to the use and exploitation of the marine environment. GISIG represents a reference centre for common initiatives among GIS operators and users, also acting through the promotion of European projects and the establishment of thematic networks and national secretariats. The Moravian-Silesian Automobile Cluster is located in the VŠB-TU Ostrava in Ostrava. It has established contacts with clusters in other EU countries.
