WTO---World Trade Organization A organization to comply with the trend of globalization.

China and WTO 10 th November,2001 (Chinas application to WTO is admitted.) 11 th December,2001 (China officially becomes a member of WTO)

China and Workshop of the World After entering into the WTO, China is predicted to become the workshop of the world in the near future by scholars and medias at home and abroad.

Will China become the workshop of world?

Basically, we need to figure out these three issues first. What is the workshop of world (the conception of it.)? What has China already possessed? What other kind of musts China shall have to become the workshop of China?

NO.1 What the workshop of world is From the prospect of the development of economy The Great Britain (the workshop of world after its industrial revolution) Japan (from 1960s to 1980s). They symbolize that to be the workshop of world also means running a strong overall economic growth.

forcefulness

The workshops powerful influences on the world It can directly influence or even determinate the relationship of supplies and demands in the world market.

The workshops powerful influences on the world The price movement and its developing trend also can be controlled by it.

What China has already possessed Chinas stability on its economic growth rate even in the period of global slowdown.

No.2 Chinese entrepreneurs Their eagerness to learn new things No pride and arrogance.

No.3 Chinese products in the world market share More and more countries show their appetite for Chinas cheap but excellent products. In the international market, there must be one air-conditioner made in China for every two air-conditioners.

Chinas current industrial structure has transformed into technology-intensive industry like electron, manufacturing equipment etc.technology-intensive industry NO.4 The transformation of industrial structure

To become the workshop of China, what other musts China shall have? Enlarge the scale of production. China has no company among the top 500 companies in the world. Among the top 500 industrial companies in China, there is no one about manufacturing industry.

More about it The gap in the ability of developing new products

Although China still have a long way to go in order to become the workshop of world, there are many possibilities and current conditions, which indicate that to be the workshop of world is absolutely in the near future

The economical and political relation Economic and politics are too different notions, but they are born to be closely linked together like twins. What changes will happen to the twins after China enter into WTO?

Advantages and disadvantages After entering into WTO, Chinese has experienced a rapid growth both economically and politically. Whereas, it also faces great challenges and ventures.

Disadvantages: the economic oppression Challenges and ventures
