Presentation transcript:

Office Ergonomics: Monitor Placement Proper placement of the monitor is crucial to comfort when working on a computer. The monitor should be placed directly in front of you. Proper height is where the top of the screen is at or just below eye level. Here are some common monitor errors: Wrong location: Posture follows vision! Don’t put the monitor in the corner of the desk. It forces you to work with the neck twisted. Incorrect Too low / flat on the desktop: Monitors are often placed flat on the desktop and angled up. This forces you to work with your head and neck forward. Keep it up at eye level. Incorrect Too much glare: Glare on the computer screen, whether from outside sunlight or inside overhead lighting is hard on the eyes. Place the monitor perpendicular to outside windows and keep the monitor at a flat angle to reduce glare. Incorrect Confidential-Client Use Only
