TLO 1.0 – Processing Correspondence ELO 1.0–Complete Skillport Training LESSON OUTCOME: Students will gain a basic understanding of the capabilities of the Microsoft Office© Suite software. Students will demonstrate the ability to produce a basic word processing document, spreadsheet and slide through hands-on application. Army Learning Area (ALA) – General Learning Outcome (GLO’s) ALA Human Dimension – GLO 8 ALA Professional Competence – GLO 13 INSTRUCTIONAL STRATEGY: Collaborative/Interactive Instruction METHODS OF INSTRUCTION: Tutorial Drill and practice Demonstration Interactive Multimedia Instruction LEARNING OBJECTIVE ACTION: Complete Skillport Training Tutorials. CONDITIONS: In a classroom environment, given a computer with Microsoft Office, standard office supplies, equipment and awareness of Operational Environment (OE) variables and factors. STANDARD: Upon completion tutorials complete all require sub-lessons and produce certificates. Army Learning Area (ALA) – General Learning Outcome (GLO’s) Human Dimension – GLO 7 & 8 Professional Competence – GLO 14 INSTRUCTIONAL STRATEGY: Direct Instruction METHODS OF INSTRUCTION: Structured Overview Drill and practice Demonstration Practical Exercise Problem solving LEARNING OBJECTIVE ACTION: Prepare a Memorandum CONDITIONS: In a classroom environment, given a draft memorandum, AR 25-50 (Preparing and Managing Correspondence), a computer with internet connectivity loaded with word processing software, standard office dictionary or (www.dictionary.com) , pen, pencil, student handout (Prepare Correspondence), and awareness of Operational Environment (OE) variables and factors. STANDARD: Prepare, save, and print a properly formatted memorandum using word processing software.
