RHS Volleyball Culture Our road map for success as individuals and as a team. It reflects how we behave while in the gym, in season, and in preparation for the season. Team First Competitive Excellence Pride Respect Personal Accountability

RHS Volleyball Policies Player Policies and Expectations Maintain academic eligibility and abide by RHS Athletic code. Attend all team functions (practice, matches, tournaments, meetings, volunteer & fundraising events, etc). Be on-time. Provide necessary equipment: T-shirts (no tank tops or cut out shirts), shorts, volleyball shoes and knee pads. Jersey, Navy Spandex and team socks for matches. No Drama, No Gossip, No Bullying, i.e. be respectful. This includes in gym, at school, at home, at social events, and on social media. Support and value all roles on the team. Meet / exceed your volunteer requirements.

RHS Volleyball Policies Playing Time and Team Movement Playing time is NOT guaranteed at any level. Players can and will be moved up or down across teams based on injuries, team needs, performance and attitude. Players may practice with one team but play at a different level. Conflict Resolution Players are encouraged to talk to program captains and/or their coaches to resolve issues. No discussions with parents regarding playing time. Meetings with coaches to discuss an issue other than playing time must include player and parent. No emails related to conflicts/issues.

RHS Volleyball Policies General Parent Policies and Expectations Support your daughter in whatever role they have with the team and program. Allow coaches to coach. Respect coaches, players, officials, and other parents. No gossiping at home, in the stands, or at events. Volunteer and participate.

RHS Volleyball Policies Injuries Trainer, Ashley Rust, is available Daily from 2:30-5:30, and available at all home JV and varsity games. Players need to advise coaches of any injuries. If any athlete goes to the doctor, we need a note from the doctor clearing them to play/practice. Players must practice day before a match. Ashley’s contact information is found on the RHS school website. Located under the athletics tab, then click on athletic trainer. Orthopedic is available weekly.

Transportation 9th Grade: Bus to and from most matches Bus to ISD 196 schools, no bus home. 10/JV/V Bus to most matches Bus home after some Varsity Games. Players are required to take bus. Busing to tournaments will be decided on a case by case basis. Bus schedule is available on RHS Program Info Page.

Volunteering Players are required to participate in a specified number of events along some required events. Many of the events focus on the development of youth volleyball programs, program visibility in the community. Examples include: Summer Queens League - Cub Bagging Summer Volleyball Camps - Presidents Day Volleyball Tournament RHS IM Volleyball League - Youth Clinics Helps develop mentoring and leadership skills in the players. Per-Player Volunteer Requirements CUB BAGGING (Dec and May) and PRESIDENT’S DAY (Feb) … PLUS: Varsity – 5 Events (8) JV – 4 Events (7) 10th – 3 Events (6) 9A&9B – 2 Events These totals are subject to change as volunteer needs change. Uncompleted volunteer hours will roll to the next season. Sign-up for events on our website in the DIBS section. Completed event totals show in DIBS.  Completed vs Needed by player is also posted on our website.

Financing RHS Volleyball RHS Volleyball Registration Fees provides for: Gym time,Game Refs,Part of coaching staff, Transportation, and tournament fees. This budget has been reduced or stayed flat every year over the past 7 years. RHS Player Fees fund Booster club to provide for: Uniforms (Jersey, socks, Practice T, Backpacks, Additional items) Equipment (Nets, balls, carts, etc.) Events (Game events, team building, etc.) Remainder of Tournament fees and Coaching staff.

Booster’s mission is to improve the overall experience for players and parents, and raise additional FUNDS necessary to run the RHS Volleyball program. Meetings are first Monday of each month, 7:00 pm at T.O.P.S. Pizza. All Parents are welcome!
