Class elections timeline 10/25 – hand out application to those who want to run for an officer position 11/3 – completed applications due 11/6 – 11/10 campaigning for office 11/13- 11/16 voting online 11/17 winners announced ALL CAMPAIGNING ITEMS NEED APPROVAL FROM YOUR ADVISORS (Mr. Giordano/Ms. Rowe). NOTHING CAN BE HUNG ON THE WALLS IN THE HALLS.

How can I run for office? Requirements You will need to pick up an application form and return the completed form to one of the advisors by 11/3 @ 2:15 All your teachers and your parent or guardian must sign your application. Missing signatures will disqualify you from running Must be able to stay after school once a week for meetings Must maintain a 2.0 in all classes Must maintain good attendance record (abscences and lateness's) Must attend all class events Demonstration of leadership behavior Positive attitude !!

Officer positions President • Acts as chief executive officer of the class. • Takes the lead in determining class goals (fund raisers, activities). • Works with all class officers to ensure that they collaborate effectively on behalf of their classmates. • Sets the tone for the class and its relationship with faculty and staff. • Maintains contact with advisors and administer on behalf of the class. • Becomes familiar with the Encompass platform of online services (website, email, etc.) to facilitate classmate communications. • In consultation with Association staff, helps identify possible reunion chairs, reunion gift chair, class agent, and other volunteer positions. • Commits to being a member of the reunion committee • Fills officer vacancies arising between elections, either personally or by appointment. Vice President • Works with the class president and other officers in planning, organizing, and implementing class programs. • Becomes familiar with the Encompass platform of online services (website, email, etc.) to facilitate classmate communications. • Exercises the powers and duties of the president in the absence of the president. • Fills officer vacancies arising between elections. • Commits to being a member of the reunion committee

Secretary • Edits and publishes class notes after each meeting in OneNote • Becomes familiar with the Encompass platform of online services (website, email, etc.) to facilitate classmate communications. • Sends reminders for meeting, class projects, events ect... • Commits to being a member of the reunion committee Treasurer • Accurately maintain all financial records of the class. • Work in partnership with the reunion committee and Association staff to budget for the reunion. • Report quarterly to class officers and Association staff on status of class accounts. • Set budget for events, goals for class fund raising • Commits to being a member of the reunion committee

Fund Raising The key to having a nice senior prom and senior activities is fund raising The average cost of a senior prom is around $30,000. If you divide that by the number of students in your class that comes out to be $120 per person for prom. No one wants to pay that much. The goal is to be at $50-$60 per person come senior prom. Ideas? Apparel – need class design Claire’s Gourmet Restaurant nights
