Physical Map Physical maps indicate the location of landforms like deserts, mountains and plains

Continent Any of the world's main continuous expanses of land (Africa, Antarctica, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, South America).

Peninsula A piece of land almost surrounded by water (on 3 sides) or projecting out into a body of water.

Channel A length of water wider than a strait, joining two larger areas of water, especially two seas.

Boundary A line that marks the limits of an area; a dividing line.

Plain A large area of flat land with few trees
