My name is Mrs. Ayers and I will be your second grade teacher this year. I have taught both first and second grade in the past and am excited to have the opportunity to teach second grade again this year! This is the start of my 29th year at Garfield and I love being part of the Garfield community. During the past 28 years, I have had the chance to see many students grow up, graduate from high school, head off to college, get jobs and start their own families. I love it when my former students come back to visit me. I grew up in Everett and now live here with my family. My family includes my husband, Randy; my step-daughter, Kaila Ann; her husband, Blake; their daughter, Ella Mae; our son, Riley; our daughter, Haley and our puppy, Beau. This summer I was very busy. I taught summer school and we did projects around our house. We also enjoyed swimming, going on walks, hosting out of town guests and spending lots of time with extended family. My favorite part of the summer was when our son, Riley, spent a week visiting us from North Dakota. It was a great summer! I have included some of my favorite things to help you get to know me. I can’t wait to learn more about you this year and watch you learn new things. We are going to have a great year together!
