Your task today will be to make the first double page of your book Your task today will be to make the first double page of your book. It will have 7 lift up flaps – one for each life process Here are a few tips to help you get started

Fold your piece of card in half and write your title neatly in pencil across the top Once you are happy with the layout and you have checked the spelling, go over your title in coloured pen to make it look good and stand out.

Next, cut out the 7 big rectangles on your task sheet Next, cut out the 7 big rectangles on your task sheet. These will become your lift up flaps. Arrange 3 on one side and 4 on the other, leaving space at the top to explain what they are. Fold over a small strip at the top, above the label. Glue the back of the strip and stick each one down. They are now lift-up flaps.

Use your task sheet to help you write a few sentences explaining what the page is all about.

Write or stick a sentence about each life process under each flap. Finally, illustrate your page with pictures of plants, animals and humans because they are all living things!
