A problem solver’s guide By Ms. Winder What should You do? A problem solver’s guide By Ms. Winder

Sometimes things can be confusing.

Sometimes we need have problems Sometimes we need have problems. We need to use our brains to think about the answer.

What steps do we take to solve problems? Take a deep breath. Think of the problem. Think of the possibilities. Make a choice.

We will solve these problems together in our book. We will tell what the problem is and…. Select a good choice of what to do.

Problem #1 Ms. Winder is absent. She is sick or at a workshop. You have a substitute. What should you do?

Solutions What should you do? Run and hit people? Listen to your new teacher and know that everything is okay? What should you do?

Problem #2 You want pizza for lunch. But they only have sandwiches. What should you do?

Solutions What should you do? Cry and hit people. Take the chicken. It is still delicious and you know you could have pizza tomorrow. What should you do?

Problem #3 You had a rough day. You did not listen to the rules and now you cannot play in gym. What should you do?

Solutions What should you do? Yell at your teachers and friends? Sit quietly and wait. If you keep your hands and mouth quiet, you could play tomorrow. What should you do?

Problem #4 You want to have snack before lunch. What should you do?

Solutions What should you do? Hit other students, run around, and yell until you get your snack? Sit quietly, keep your hands, down and do your work? What should you do?

We can make good choices. Remember… We can make good choices.

Just remember to follow these steps: Take a deep breath. Think of the problem. Think of the possibilities. Make a choice.

Great Job! The End!
