Affirmations We are going to sit in the Writer’s Lab & share our I AM statements. You can choose to read them all or you can pick the ones you want to share. As people read, I want you to send them love by silently showing the sign language sign for I love you.

Affirmations Negative statements – if somebody makes a negative statement – we will say “You’re not that.” & continue to show them love.

I AM Rewrite Rewrite your I Am statements to include only positive attributes about yourself. When you are done, return to the Writer’s Lab with your new I Am statements and sit quietly.

Start with a story idea then try to incorporate the rhyme scheme You are writing your own horror narrative poem using the rhyme scheme from The Raven Each line should convey a complete thought and move your story along You should not have less than 7 words per line Make sure your utilize one of the elements of horror writing Tips!

Potential Due Dates: October 10, 11, 12, 13 October 17, 18, 19 Together, you are going to propose a due date for your horror narrative poems. The due date must be on or before October 19. At each table, discuss a date that you think would be good for the class. Choose one date. Each table will propose a due date & then we will vote. That will be the due date of your final draft.
