What can you do to help your child prepare for the SATs? Reading Make sure your child reads their library book or badger book daily. Use online practise SATs test. Talk to your child about what they have read, ask them to summarise and make predictions about events. Listen to your child read aloud as often as possible. Ask your child to explain the meaning of words in the text. Reading at speed

Ensure your child learns their spellings each week. Test your child on their spelling and look carefully at the spelling patterns giving them similar words to practise.
