The company of PGL state the following in relation to the centre at PGL in Liddington Most modern centre Hotel-style design and facilities 150 acres of beautiful grounds We will travel to Liddington by coach. It takes roughly 1 hour and 40 minutes.

What activities will my child be doing? All PGL's adventure activities take place under the instruction and guidance of specially trained PGL instructors who prioritise safety above all else. Activities take place on land, on the water and in the air (for our rope-based challenges), so each brings a different (and fun!) way for children to challenge themselves in a friendly, safe and supportive environment. The final activity programme will be agreed with the Party Leader a few weeks before travel but you can see a full list of activities on each centre page, along with a full description and photos.  For some of our larger centres, they have 360 degree virtual tours available on each centre page where you can click on an activity symbol to read more about it, see more photos and even watch videos for some activities. The virtual tours are a great way to familiarise yourself with where each activity takes place and get a feel for what it's all about.

Activities Daytime Activities Every day is different! They offer over 20 different activities at Liddington and they pack in as many as possible. They include everything from abseiling to quad-biking. Evening activities The fun doesn’t stop there! They also include fun-packed evening entertainment programmes including a disco, campfire and an outdoor game of Ambush in the dark!

Food - Fuel for LIFE! Fun may be important, but so is food, and we want to inspire children into a healthier lifestyle that includes a tasty, balanced diet. PGL work closely with leading catering organisations to ensure the food is the best it can be and the dining rooms are fun, active places where it’s good to refuel during a busy fun-packed day. No-one should leave the dining room hungry so they try to offer a range of different and nutritious hot food to suit all appetites. There is unlimited access to the salad bar and bread basket and children can help themselves to fruit. The buffet style restaurant means that children can ‘mix and match’ the items they love most. The Group leaders are on hand to help and will look out for anyone who can’t find anything on the menu that they enjoy.

Food PGL know requirements in advance we can provide for most special diets. We ask Party Leaders to inform us of any dietary requirements a few weeks before travel and we can arrange for the chefs to contact parents directly to discuss any concerns they may have.A vegetarian alternative can always be provided on all our holidays, and they can accommodate most special diets required on medical or religious grounds. There are freshly-prepared hot or cold options available at every mealtime and a self-service salad bar for children to help themselves to as much salad as they like at lunch and dinner. Homemade soup is available most days and there is plenty of bread and fresh fruit available, as well as hot and cold drinks. Water, squash, tea and coffee are available with all meals and children are encouraged to refill their water bottles for regular use throughout the day. There are also water fountains available around the centre.

Accommodation This centre offers fantastic, modern, comfortable accommodation. All the rooms are en-suite and most are four bedded, however there are a couple of six bedded rooms. The accommodation is in the main building and is built around spacious outdoor courtyards. The 150 acre site has landscaped lakes for water-based activities, a floodlit all-weather sports pitch and 11 full size football pitches! With so many activity bases all on-site, you’ll need at least a week here just to get round them all! As well as over 20 different activities, Liddington is also one of only a few centres to have a tunnel trail and even has several flexible indoor spaces, so whatever the weather you’ll always have something to do!

All rooms have between 4-6 bunk beds. Every room has an ensuite bathroom and areas for storage.

What will my child learn on a PGL trip? Children will overcome a series of challenges in the great outdoors which will help them to develop resilience, confidence and the motivation to succeed. The residential experience itself brings a whole range of additional benefits to the personal development of the young person. The children will be sharing living and sleeping space, eating together and tackling the day's adventures together, which encourages respect for others, tolerance and better self-awareness. PGL are continually developing their courses to offer the best learning opportunities for young people and they work with organisations such as the Council for Learning Outside The Classroom and the Real World Learning Campaign Partnership to share expertise and ensure standards are kept consistently high.

Payment Plan The full price is approx. £285 but you will be notified shortly. All payments must be paid via Parent Pay. No cash or cheques expected. The deposit is £50 to secure place and this is non- refundable. The payment plan is as follows: Deposit of £50 due 23rd March 2018 Next instalment due 18th May 2018 Final instalment due and total paid by 13th July 2018

Payment Plan Instalments can be made of varying amounts in the run up to the final instalment dates. However, the full payment for each instalment needs to be paid by the date specified. If it is not possible for your child to attend PGL for some reason, you will need to still pay the cost if you have committed to them attending and have secured a place. Any payments made at that point will be non-refundable. Refunds can only be made if there is a significant medical reason. If you are unable to make the payments, please speak to Mrs Daniels to arrange a plan.

Peace of Mind All of the instructors are carefully selected, highly trained and meet the requirements laid down by national governing bodies, including The Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA), The British Activity Providers Association (BAPA) and the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC). For all staff, the Disclosure and Barring Service* (DBS) ‘Barred List’ is checked and an ‘Enhanced’ check is applied for. PGL is a well-established company and they are members of ABTA (Association of British Travel Agents).

Peace of Mind For many children, part of the learning experience is about being away from home, sometimes for the first time. We would ask parents to allow their children to settle in and enjoy the experience. If you need to contact your child urgently, we will of course organise this. However please bear in mind that many of our sites are very large and your child may be a long way from the phone when you call. You must inform the Party Leader of your child’s swimming ability. Water confidence is adequate for some activities and we will make alternative arrangements so that your child does not miss out. If the Party Leader is aware of this, we will be happy to arrange a birthday card and a V.I.P sticker entitling the birthday boy or girl to special privileges throughout the day; for example queue jumping for meals and activities. Happy Birthday will be sung during the day in an appropriate place. PGL include insurance for UK based schools for all our trips. Please refer to the Party Leader for further information about insurance cover.
