Presentation transcript:

Warm Up 1/6 What needs to be done in order to make your outline and writing ready to submit? Make a specific and thorough list.

Options: 1. As you have been, work independently toward submitting an awesome and thorough outline. Do you think you’re done? Likely not! Ensure that both the context you provide and the commentary you write are as thorough as needed. In order to improve context, read over the part of the play where the quote you chose comes from and be sure that your writing answers these questions. Exactly what happens there? How is it relevant to both the topic sentence and the thesis? To improve your commentary, connect the quotation to your topic first (select exact words from the quotation and examine them – this will help you to achieve the necessary level of depth for the assignment), then to your thesis. 2. Share your work with a partner in order to peer revise.

Writing Timeline TIMELINE: December 13: Notes on structure/brainstorming December 14th: Complete essay outline (with rough thesis idea) by midnight on Wednesday. January 3rd : Complete essay outline, improve thesis statement. January 4th: Write rough draft of one developed paragraph January 5th: Revise the outline/paragraph. Be sure that organization is best to serve the essay; complete associated reflective writing. January 6th: Polish your work (perfect both the thesis and the developed body paragraph). Submit today!

Homework Complete and LOG 5 hours by next Thursday, 1/12. To LOG properly, for each session you work toward completing your project, list out – with as much detail as possible – every task you complete.
