Postsecondary Plans... 4-year University California public universities CSU system – 23 campuses UC system – 10 campuses Private Universities Over 75 colleges in California Community Colleges 114 Community Colleges in California Students can complete 2 years at community college, then transfer to a 4-year university (must fulfill transfer requirements) Vocational Schools - Universal Technical Institute, Carrington College

Degrees…what’s the difference? Associate's Degree – A degree you earn after attending a community college for about 2 years Bachelor's Degree – A degree you earn after attending a university for about 4 years Professional Degree – A degree you earn after you graduate from a 4 year university and THEN you continue your education in graduate school (2 yrs + )
