Intro Have you ever thought of how to produce music? Or have you ever thought of how music is made before you get to hear it on the radio? If you haven’t, I can teach you how in a few steps. The materials you need are a Mac, MacBook pro, or a Desktop running a mac operating system (OS). I am going to show you how to do it on Garageband, however there are other products you can use to produce music.
Steps Open GarageBand Create a new file Choose project type Select style of song Edit track, record track, or delete all tracks to add loops Find loops Create track and add loop to track Edit the loops sound and timing Save file Export file
Step 1 Open GarageBand Go to Applications Folder Select the GarageBand icon and wait for it to load (It will take about 30 seconds to a minute to load.)
Step 2 Create a new file. Select File Select New...
Step 3 Choose project type. Select New Project Select Hip Hop (or whatever type you want). Update the Tempo if you want the beat of your song to be faster or slower.
Step 4 If you want a drumming loop, select the type of beat from the drummer loops.
Step 5 Edit track, record track, or delete all tracks to add your own loops. (I am deleting all tracks in this example so I can create my own song.) Right click on the track. Select Delete Track.
Step 6 To add loops: Find loops that you like. Drag and drop the loops into empty slots in the timeline.
Step 7 Create track and add loops to the song. Right Click Select New Track
Step 8 Edit the sound and timing. Move tracks around where you want them. Add effects or change type of sound. Change Master

Step 9 Save your file when your done. Select File Select Save As...
Step 10 Export the song and import it to iTunes to sync your song to your iPad, iPhone, or iPod.
