School Council September 2018 Golden Time Re-launch! School Council September 2018

You said… A better range of activities Mix up the classes so we can play with friends in other classes Try Golden Time at a different time of day

We conducted a survey… You had lots of ideas for different activities. Everyone voted for their favourite activity. School council counted all your votes and the most popular choices will be available for Golden Time very very soon!

Golden Time Re-launch From now on, Golden Time will take place on Friday mornings, straight after our Sharing Assembly. There will be a range of activities, led by different staff members, that you will be able to choose from. Activities will include:

Football Make sure you bring your PE kit, football boots, goalie gloves etc because if football is your activity you’ll be on the field with the nets, come rain or shine. Play a full game or mini tournament-it’s up to you.

Café Café will be a chill-out activity where you can enjoy a drink, a healthy snack and chat with your friends. If you usually find Golden Time a bit noisy and chaotic and you just want a bit of peace and quiet to talk with your friends, then café will be perfect for you!

Baking Bring a plastic box along to the kitchen area so you can take home whichever yummy treats you create if baking is your activity. We’re a healthy school but Golden Time is reward time so you can reward yourself an people at home with your own delicious baking. Cupcakes, biscuits, traybakes. This activity will be popular with teachers!

Clay! Be ready to get really creative if clay is your choice. Build a model and paint it and you’ll have something to take home to remind you of Golden Time at MVPS forever!

Tech Club The return of iPads and laptops to Golden Time. Choose Tech Club to spend all of Golden Time on your favourite games or listening to your favourite music. Maybe you’ll be introduced to some new ideas too.

Other activities will include.. Crafting Multi sports Dance Cinema Board Games ……and some activities are still being added!

Golden Time Re-launch Golden Time will now take place for one hour, every other week. This will give us plenty of time to enjoy our activities! Each class will be given a few places for each activity. Class teachers will choose -with you- who will do each activity. Not everyone will get their first choice but there will always be some choice and activity groups will change every few weeks.

Remember… Golden Time is a privilege, not a right. If you have been in the storm you will miss some of your Golden Time.

Talk to us! If you have anything you really like or find you don’t like about our new Golden Time, speak to school council!
