ISA Fellow Ship Program Mid Career Professionals For Mid Career Professionals

Basic Doctrine Aimed at to impart education to participants from ISA countries with a view to make significant contribution in their own countries for exploitation of solar energy for development of people Broad Scope: Solar energy applications for energy access and utility scale power Source of Funding from ISA to be made available to all Member Countries Number of Fellowships – 20 nos. Total Duration – 2 Years NISE and TERI as Knowledge Partners

Fellowship Framework Fellowship to cover Economy return International travel Tuition fee, as per actual (excluding refundable amount) Maintenance and subsistence allowance for 18 months Eligibility: Mid Career Professionals as per criterion. Education Programme: M. Tech. Degree through 3 Semesters (6 mths each) formal education in India, & One semester for Project Work in home country.

Eligibility Criterion Mid career highly qualified professionals from citizens of ISA member countries with high potential, and ambition to make career in solar sector. Demonstrable desire to contribute to home country and influence policy makers after returning at the end of the program. Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering degree holders or Science PG degree holders (Minimum CGPA of 6.75 / 10 or equivalent or 60% marks. Employees of Government or Semi-Government or other relevant organizations.

Programme Details Aspects to be Covered Approach Technology, Policy & Regulation, Environmental & Societal issues, Economics & Finance, Project Management and System Integration. Approach Diverse pedagogy including classroom teaching, invited talks, laboratory work for practical training Industrial exposure involving interaction with professionals and experts Field visits and a hands-on industrial experience.

Financial Support Structure – Examples (Master’s Programme) Fee: IIT Delhi: US$ 2000 and US$ 4000 for SAARC and other countries + INR 7285 (US$ 65) per semester TERI SAS: US 2150 and US$ 4150 per semester for Developing and Developed countries Fellowship: Commonwealth Scholarship Scheme in India(For Bangladesh, Guyana, Maldives, Ne Zealand, Sri Lanka and UK): Living allowance= INR 7000 (US$108) per month HRA (Grade I cities) = INR 5000 per month Contingent Grant = INR 12500 per year Tuition Fee = As per actual Thesis charges, medical reimbursement, etc.
