GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS 30 CREDITS TO OBTAIN YOUR OSSD (Ontario Secondary School Diploma) 18 – Compulsory credits 12 – Elective credits OSSLT – successful completion of either the test or the OLC course 40 hours of Community Service

What to consider when deciding what to take in Grade 12 Consider future goals when making choices for Gr. 12 Some Gr. 12 courses will be pre-requisites for your University, College and Apprenticeship pathways Ex. Commerce at Queen’s – Pre-req: ENG4U, MHF 4U, MCV 4U so make sure you have the necessary grade 12 courses Ex. Practical Nursing at George Brown – ENG4C/U with a grade of 70% or higher, MCF3M/MCR3U or MAP4C at 70% or higher, SBI3C/3U or SBI4U 70% or higher, SCH4C/4U at 70% or higher Ex. Electrical Techniques at Sheridan – ENG4C/4U

Apprenticeship/College/University Bound Reminders Grade 11 and/or Grade 12 pre-requisites may be required (math/science)​ College​ English is important!​ Research required - pre-requisites!​ ‘cut-off avg.’ based on 6 ‘senior’ courses (‘C’/’M’/’U’)​ University​ Minimum 6 Grade 12 ‘U’ OR ‘M’ courses ​ Includes pre-requisites for program (ENG4U1)​ ‘cut-off averages’ vary by program & University

Making Your Choices – Compulsory Classes You will need to choose the following 2 Compulsory Courses for Gr. 12: English – ENG4E, ENG4C, ENG4U Religion – HRE4O, HRE4M, HZT4U (Philosophy) You will then choose 6 Elective Courses for Gr. 12 MAKE SURE THAT GROUP 1, GROUP 2, AND GROUP 3 HAVE BEEN COMPLETED.

SUBMISSION PROCEDURES Log into your myBlueprint account and choose your courses You should select 8 courses! We will open the portal so you can SUBMIT your course selections and PRINT your course verification form on Thursday, February 9 after school Registration collection begins: Monday February 13 and runs until Thursday, February 16. PORTAL CLOSES ON FEBRUARY 16! Where – in the cafeteria. WE WILL CALL YOU DOWN. You must have BOTH OF THE FOLLOWING as we will NOT accept one without the other: 1. Course Verification Sheet – signed by you and your parent 2. Activity Fee form with money – cash, credit or debit $65 NO CHEQUES!
