History SDIIS = South Dakota Immunization Information System 1996 – Implemented as a dial-up system 2003 – Converted to a web application

BENEFITS OF THE SDIIS Monthly Reports Vaccine Management VFC Compliance Annual Provider Profile

Required Monthly Reports Doses administered Clinic Inventory ►Submittal of these reports is required prior to shipping vaccine.

Vaccine Accountability Report Produced at the Central Level Doses received Wasted vaccine Spoiled vaccine Transferred vaccine

Automated Vaccine Management Function Records Immunizations from current inventory supply Automatically manages inventory Automatically records vaccine name and lot number in patient record

VFC Compliance Accomplished during the VFC/AFIX site visit Check of the VFC eligibility field in SDIIS

Annual Provider Profile Report is produced using the SDIIS Report coincides with the VFC eligibility categories
