Peripheral Nervous System Sensory neurons Send information from sense organs Motor neurons Send commands from the CNS to muscles and other organs

Brain Stem Relay information throughout the CNS Play a role in in homeostasis by regulating vital functions Heart rate, breathing rate, body temperature, and sleep Hypothalmus Regulates endocrine system

Sympathetic Nervous System Physical and emotional stress Fight-or-flight response Increases blood pressure, heart rate, and breathing rate
