KEYS To AF MilTA Evaluated-degree plan specific to student telling all courses required, completed, transferred, and remaining courses broken into categories (e.g. general education, core, electives, etc.). Can take 3-5 business days for approval Must have Evaluated degree plan approval to get TA (unevaluated degree plans approved for 6 semester hours ONLY) Must send all transcripts from all credit granting institutions Colleges including CCAF CLEP/DSST Advanced Placement (AP Classes) International Baccalaureate Classes

KEYS To AF MilTA Pays for 1 Associate—Airman who have a CCAF degree are not eligible to receive a civilian associate degree but may pursue subsequent CCAF degree(s). Pays 1 Bachelor’s—ONLY up to 124 SH of undergraduate hours Pays 1 Master’s Degree—ONLY up to 42 SH No lower or lateral degrees permitted to any previously attained by any means

MilTA Stoppers Request TA no later than 7 days PRIOR to the class Late TA is not authorized. May request TA up to 45 days before the start of the class. ALL UNAPPROVED MilTA will be permanently deleted on course start date and student assumes all financial responsibilities TA is not authorized after the published term date has ended (After-the- Fact TA). Automatic TA denials: UIF, Control Roster, current Referral EPR; failed most recent PT test or are overdue

MilTA Stoppers MilTA WILL NOT be issued for Airmen with outstanding and/or unresolved “I”, “Failure”, or “W” grades. Airmen must satisfactorily resolve these grades or complete reimbursement process (i.e. satisfactorily complete all required paperwork to begin reimbursement) BEFORE MilTA will be issued Waivers—Required to complete college options for waiver and refund of Air Force TA Must include school’s decision as part of AF Waiver Application AF Waivers are ONLY considered when unexpected situation outside Airman’s control occur such as short notice PCS/TDY, Unexpected hospitalizations or emergency leave NO waivers for “D” of “F” grades at undergraduate or “C”, “D”, or “F” at graduate level

MilTA Stoppers Prerequisite courses need to be on a degree plan to be approved for MILTA MilTA will not pay for repeated or equivalent courses more than ONCE. If Airman has reimbursed the AF, they are eligible for ONE retake using MilTA

Air University ASSOCIATE TO Baccalaureate Cooperative (AU-ABC) Category I – Requires CCAF graduate to earn not more than an additional 60 semester hours of credit for degree completion. Category II - Airman must complete specifically identified prerequisite general education/ program elective coursework for the AU-ABC partner school. Upon completion of CCAF degree requirements to include AU- ABC prerequisite coursework, the Airman will need not more than 60 semester hours to complete bachelor’s degree requirements. Category III degree programs offer value to students and the Air Force, and require more than 60 semester hours for degree completion beyond a CCAF degree.
