Music Elective Overview We focus on building basic individual skills to prepare students for participation in instrumental and choral ensemble settings – posture, technique, tone, use of air, breath support, vowel production, diction, placement of bow or stick.

District FLASH Review The Issaquah School District will be holding a presentation of the District FLASH Curriculum at the district office on: TENTATIVE DATES: Thursday, October 11th at 6:00PM AND Saturday, October 13th at 9:00AM. *If you plan to opt your child out of the FLASH Curriculum you must attend this presentation every year!

Fitness Days One day a week is dedicated to fitness days in P.E. The purpose of this is to get students heart rates up for 15 continuous minutes and teach them what it feels like. Activities on these days include: -Running activities (the mile, cross country run, on/offs, etc) -Relays -Circuit training
TechSmart TechSmart: Students explore different technologies to develop problem-solving skills, technology literacy/fluency, and digital citizenship. This is a required trimester-long class. Upon successful completion of the course, students satisfy the high school technology graduation requirement.
