Classroom Rules Respect the rights of others - No put downs - Be your own boss - No negative attitudes Raise your hand to speak - DO NOT talk over me or anyone else Bring your materials to class every day - Don’t ask me if you need to bring a material….the answer is yes Pick up after yourself!! - The janitors are not your maids!

Consequences of Negative Behavior Verbal or written warning Detention Detention/Parent Phone Call Office Referral ** Steps may be skipped based on the severity of the infraction

Required Materials Bring these things every day!! Pen or Pencil (Not red or something hard to read) Textbook Notebook (SOCIAL STUDIES ONLY) - I would suggest a 3 subject for the entire year Assignment Notebook AR Book

Grading Policy In this class we will use the total number of earned points divided by the total possible for grade averages. Grade Scale A= 90-100 B= 89-80 C= 79-70 D= 69-60 F= Below 60

Remediation You may earn a passing grade on any assignment that you do not pass by correcting ALL incorrect answers, and retuning it to me within 5 school days. The highest grade you may receive for any remediation is a 60%

Bellringers!! Bellringers are opportunities for you to write about the things we are talking about in class, quotes, or current events. Bellringers will be done every day. When the tardy bell rings you are to begin. I will not ask you to start…remind you to start...or tell you to start….when the bell rings…you should be started. Each day you will have 4-5 minutes to complete the bellringer. You must be SILENT during the entire bellringer. Every FRIDAY you will turn in your bellringers from that week. Your bellringer should be at least 4-5 sentences, and discuss your opinions, beliefs, reactions and other feelings about the topic.

Let’s Practice Bellringer Day 1 How will Middle School be different from 6th grade? What are you looking forward to most this year?
