2018 UF Campaign for Charities

Campaign History

UF has had a charitable fundraising drive for more than 29 years. FL Certified Organic Growers UF has had a charitable fundraising drive for more than 29 years.

F UF employees have given almost $1M for each of the last 13 years – and more than $23M since 1989 AMIkids

The UFCC has grown from 39 agencies in 1993 to 93 agencies for 2018 Gainesville Pet Rescue

UFCC Contributions

Alachua County Coalition for the Homeless and Hungry UFCC donors may give to the UFCC through: A designated donation – naming the recipient agency An undesignated donation –to the general campaign fund not to a specific agency

Undesignated Donations Children’s Home Society Undesignated Donations The total of donations that are given as undesignated are divided among the agencies based on the percentage of designated funds received by each agency.

Planned Parenthood In 2017, donations to agencies were increased by 24% due to the addition of undesignated funds.

Alzheimer’s Association If a donor gave $100 to an agency in 2017, the agency actually received $124

UFCC Fiscal Process

Friends of the Crisis Center Memory Garden Friends of the Crisis Center United Way serves as the fiscal agent for the UFCC

United Way’s projected fee for the 2018 UFCC is 5.37%. Rebuilding Together United Way’s projected fee for the 2018 UFCC is 5.37%. This includes United Way staff time, printing, postage, online giving site fees, recordkeeping, distribution of funds to agencies.

Campaign Details

Keep Alachua Co Beautiful Employees log on to the giving site: To give for the first time. To change their pledge amount or agency designations. To stop their pledge at the end of 2018.

Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Rollover of Payroll Contributions Leukemia & Lymphoma Society The pledge is stopped mid-year with the UF Human Resources. The donor elects to not renew the pledge for the following year – using the online system. Payroll deduction pledges will roll over to the following year unless:
