Oviedo Summer Lab Program IMPORTANT DATES FOR 2016 TRIP First informational meeting: October 1, 2015 Application deadline: December 1, 2015 Decision date: December 8, 2015 Hosted by University of Oviedo; program in partnership with University of Wisconsin chemical and biological engineering Participants earn seven credits in CH E 391 and 392 (four credits substitute for CH E 325 and 426; three credits may apply to the SSH requirement) Prerequisites: CH E 391B, spring semester prior to trip and completion of all junior year course work

Oviedo Summer Lab Program Students and Faculty Students from ISU and Univ. of Wisconsin Faculty from ISU, Wisconsin and Oviedo Laboratory Experiments 10 experiments – 5 required; 5 elective Similar to ChE 325/426 Reports 9 written (1 rewrite) and 1 oral Memo on plant visits Course work M-F; all instruction in English

Oviedo Summer Lab Program Residence facilities include: Study rooms with wireless access and printer Pool & exercise room Easy access to university labs and classrooms

Oviedo Summer Lab Program Tuition & Fees (dollar amounts shown are approximate; more exact figures will be available at program meetings): Oviedo room/board/fees: $4300 ISU Tuition and Fees: $1300 ISU Program Fees: $500 Airfare: $1500 APROX. TOTAL: $7600* *Usual ISU financial aid can be applied; the department and College can also award study abroad scholarships. Need a passport? Cost is approx. $140 Processing time for a passport can take 4-6 weeks. Plan ahead!
