Monday, April 16 Take a new bell work paper from the basket. In your opinion, what is the purpose of sleep? Do you think it would be possible or desirable to eliminate sleep or dreams? Explain.

Tuesday, April 17 Write down 5 things that you can recall about the stages of sleep.

Wednesday, April 18 How would you describe your own sleep habits? Do you get enough sleep each night? Do any of the sleep disorders that we discussed interfere with your ability to get enough sleep? (4-5 sentences)

Monday, April 23 Write down 5 things that you have learned about dreams from the text and from the article you read on Friday.

Tuesday, April 24 What do you know about hypnosis? Do you know of anyone who has been hypnotized? If so, what do you know of their experience?

Wednesday, April 25 – True or False? A hypnotist exerts power over the subject. Anyone can be hypnotized. When you are hypnotized, you are asleep. Psychologists disagree as to whether hypnosis is a special state of consciousness Hallucinations can only occur when people take drugs. Based on research, people are able to go without sensory stimulation for long periods of time.
