Examination information: Time allowed: 2 hours Maximum mark: 90 marks Question 1: 45 marks (Mrs Old) Question 2: 45 marks (Miss Richley) Material from your wider reading may not be taken into the examination room apart from clean copies of the poetry texts prescribed for this paper. You will be marked on your ability to: Use good English Organise information clearly Use specialist vocabulary where appropriate Reading Question 1: You will be given one item taken from the prescribed area of study, World War One Literature. You will use this item to answer question one. In your response to this section of the paper you must refer to your wider reading across all three genres (prose, poetry and drama). You may also refer to your AS coursework texts. Remember question 1 is always: How does the writer present her thoughts and feelings about World War One? How far is the extract similar to and different from your wider reading in the literature of World war One? Wider reading Both questions test your wider reading in the prescribed area of study, Love through the Ages. In total, across both questions, you should write a minimum of one wider reading text from each of the three genres. Planning.
