The Solar System the solar system so huge to us but is only a speck of dust in the whole universe. Our solar system is about 5 billion years old. It also has 170 moons

The Inner Planets Mercury has no moons. Venus has an extremely hot and deadly atmosphere. It is impossible for any human astronaut to explore its surface. Earth is the first stop in the Terran system. The terran system is earth and its moon. Meteorites have been discovered in Antarctica that scientists believe to have come from Mars. Mars is known to house the largest volcano of all time, Olympus Mons.

The Outer Planets Jupiter has no solid surface. Gases get thicker and denser as you get closer to its core. Saturn is the least dense of all planets. Saturn is visibly flattened at its poles. The methane in the atmosphere gives Uranus its blue-green color. Uranus is made up of 83 percent hydrogen, 15 percent helium, and 2 percent methane. Neptune was discovered by Johann Gottfriend Galle in 1846. Neptune’s core is the size of Earth.

Earth’s Surface Earth is 75 percent water and 25 percent land. Earth has 5 oceans the Pacific Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean, the Indian Ocean, the Southern Ocean, and the Arctic Ocean. Earth is the largest of the inner planets. Earth’s surface is constantly changing. Earth’s crust is divided up into plates and when these plates collide it forms the mountain ranges and other features on Earth that are made of land

One of the Seven Wonders http://www.airpano.ru/files/Christ-the-Redeemer/2-2 One of the seven wonders of the world is the Christ Redeemer Statue in Rio, Brazil. This is one of the most visited statues on Earth. This statue was built in 1926 to 1931.

Mars’s Surface Mars is known as the Red Planet. It is called that because of its reddish- brown color. Mars has its own unique color because of millions of years of iron oxidation. One of the most popular attraction on it is Olympus Mons, the highest mountain known.

Curiosity Curiosity is the most large and advanced rover to ever land on Mars. Its mission is to investigate the climate and geology of Mars and to search for signs of life there.

How are Earth and Mars are Alike Earth and mars are both inner planets. They both have ice caps. They both contain volcanoes. The same materials make up Earth and Mars.

How Earth and Mars are Different Earth and Mars are different in many ways. Earth sustains life presently and mars does not. Mars does not contain oxygen. Mars is bigger and Earth is smaller.

Now you know the solar system I hope you had as much fun as me learning the things we didn’t know about our home and Mars. I hope you enjoyed my Slide Show!!! ; )
