Requests/Recommendations to ICG-WIGOS-7 There is a basic need to complete the migration from traditional alphanumerical codes (TAC) to the Table Driven Code Forms (TDCF) in order to support the WIGOS Metadata Standard (WMDS). ICG-WIGOS should make recommendations to EC-70 on how to address this issue. There is a risk associated with strict compliance with the WMDS that could limit international exchange of observations.  ICG-WIGOS should consider if the flexibilities in the WDMS are sufficient to accommodate all observation providers The need for more training activities on the foundational building blocks of WIGOS (OSCAR/Surface, WIGOS metadata standard, IDs) ICG-WIGOS should consider training and other measures to accelerate WIGOS Readiness among Members.
