HUNGER GAMES WRITTEN BY; SUZANNE COLLINS PUBLISED IN YEAR 2008 POWER POINT DONE BY: DIAMONIQUE REYNOLDS

~SETTING~ THE SETTING OF MY STORY TAKES PLACE IN THE FUTURE. THE MAIN SETTING IS TECHNICAL, MEANING IT IS PROGRAMED BY PEOPLE. WITH TALL TREES LOTS OF GRASS, POSINUIES PLANTS AND ANIMALS AND IS COLD AT NIGHT. IF THIS WAS OMMITTED FROM THE STORY THEN NO ONE WOULD KNOW WHERE THE STORY TOOK PLACE

medium length brown hair Brown eyes Medium height Courageous Determined enlightened Short blond hair Blue eyes Strong Artistic gallant Clever ~CHARACTERS~ KATNISS PEETA

Katniss Explanations for adjective's 1.Katniss was courageous because she was brave enough to volunteer as tribute. 2.She was determined because she really wanted to win. 3.Enlightened because she took information and followed it she understood. ~CHARACTERS EXPLAIN~ Peeta Explanations for adjective's 1.Peeta was artistic because he would paint him self to blend in with any environment. 2.Clever because he knew too team up with other people to stay alive till they died. 3.He was gallant because he was so polite to katniss. In the end they were together.

~CONFLICT~ In my story the hunger games it had all of the conflicts such as the ones in the chart next to this. Man vs. man- because they were trying to kill one another to win! Man vs. self –because what if they went crazy and killed them selves or something and they had to stay alive. Man vs. nature-because there was man eating plants and animals out there Man vs. society- because they had to fight to get people to send them stuff. to survive

~SUMMARY~ This story is about a girl (Katniss) and a boy(Peeta) who have to fight to win for there district. They have to go through seeing people die to killing people they have to find safe food and water to stay alive. How could they go days without eating? Did they win? I know you have a lot of questions but read the book and tell me, Did they survive?

My theme is: If you work together and try your hardest you can achieve any of your goals. 1.In the end katniss and Peeta worked together to win. 2.Katniss worked with rue to distracted the others. 3.When Peeta worked with the other groups he waited till they died an won with katniss but he was always there for katniss. ~THEME~ theme evidenced

~POINT OF VIEW~ The point of view for my story is first person it helps the reader really understand katniss as a character and a person. Her feelings and thoughts. If omitted then it wouldnt be as personal.

SYMBOLISM The mocking jay pin symbolizes hope, faith, and confidence. It affected the story because it helped katniss through the game and the birds themselves helped her and rue communicate.

~RECOMMENDATION~ I really recommend this book to everyone, it is a really great book I loved it, it was so greatly detailed. Makes you wonder how Suzanne came up with this. I also recommend you see the movie just as good not as detailed.

THE END
