3 Munich Employment and Qualification Programme (MBQ) (1) MBQ a programme against long-term unemployment -104 projects by independent agencies -municipal funds: 25 mio - with about persons promoted The analysis was limited to 24 projects with a budget of 10 mio and about 1000 persons -data and secondary analysis for the development of indicators / criteria to evaluate the projects according to gender-related effects and orientation
4 Munich Employment and Qualification Programme (MBQ) (2) The most important results: In the projekts we have the same gender spezific segregation than in the normal labour market; in the leading positions of the projects we find much more men, the sectors of occupation are typically for men and women women in the projects have more problematic situations than men; women over 46 are underrepresented in the projects, in generelly the female participants are younger than men
5 Munich Fund - Support for the Setting up of New Businesses (1) Programme in cooperation with the Munich Savings Bank to secure loans up to per company Term: up to 10 years, grace period: up to 2 years The City of Munich assicures 70% of the liability for the loan

7 Munich Fund - Support for the Setting up of New Businesses (3) -102 persons were promoted, 61 % men - 39% (40) women, -57 % of female founders and 50 % of male founders are still in business -12 % of the women and 29 % of the men gave up their business. -15 % loans could not be repaid, 5 % by women and 21% by male founders -Women need less capital, but after 1 year the profits per one euro is for female founders 25 % higher than for male founders
