PDSA Steps to Success Identify a daily need/problem Brainstorm possible solutions Choose one to test out Write a PLAN for the test. Make prediction about what will happen DO it! Do the test and collect your data STUDY the data to see if it solved the problem Take ACTion – take your next step to solve the problem or plan your next PDSA cycle 10mins JR PDSA cycles – proforma? Walter Shewhart 1920s. Carry out a small test of change. Involve the team/pts. Plan – what to try, how to measure (baseline plus chge) Do Study Act Sample size – belief improvement and consequence of the change eg maj conseq and low belief start with 1 person.
