Dream Home Power Point Directions: Using your Dream Home Essay, create a visual representation of your home. The power point must include 12slides, with the following information in the following order. Power points that are not in the order will have points taken off. Location Climate I plan on building my dream home on a mountain, overlooking the beach. Climate will be warm and breezy. It will rain occasionally, as I will be by the beach.

Slide 3 Requirements: Explain in detail, with a picture also, what the exterior of your house will look like. My house will be stucco and brick. The stucco will be a cream color and the brick will be a cream and brown combination. Brick Stucco

Slide 4 Requirements: Show what the landscape will look like? The house will be located on the top of the mountain. There will be lots of trees and bushes, and it will overlook the beach.

Explanation of Traffic Patterns Social: The social area has a good traffic flow. There is easy, short access to the social areas of the house through the main entrance. Work: The kitchen is close to the garage, for the service entrance. The utility room provides counter space for work and the laundry areas. Quiet Areas: These are located far away from the socializing and work areas of the home. All bedrooms have bathrooms located closely. Family Areas: These are large and provide plenty of space for many family members and their friends and activities.

Slide 6 Requirements: What special needs will you include? I want an indoor pool, a library, exercise room and a Jacuzzi tube in the master bathroom.

Slide 7 Requirements: Explain and show some samples of the furniture in your master bedroom. Also explain the color scheme that you will use. The furniture will be large and heavy to fit the mountain theme. I will have lots of storage in my bedroom, lots of linen closets. The color scheme will be an Accented Neutral, black and white with a splash of either red or purple.

My kitchen will be modern, also Accented Neutral, with a splash of red or blue. The work triangle will include the sink, stove and fridge. It will be a total of 20 feet. I really want a Sub Zero fridge, as my husband and I plan to entertain and cook a lot.

Slide 9 Requirements: Describe one of the children’s rooms, including furniture and color scheme. There will a double beds, like the ones shown. The color scheme will be triadic. The colors used will be pure red, blue and yellow.

Slide 10 Requirements: Describe your favorite room: color scheme, furniture selection, decorations, and lighting selections. My favorite room would be the Great Room. I want to spend lots of time with my family. I want comfort, entertainment and relaxation. Color scheme would be Accented Neutral with splashes of red, blue or purple.

Rubric Project is worth 120 points! Each slide is worth 10 points. Each Power point must have 1 title page, and 10 Requirement pages (floor plan requirement will have 2 pages). To receive full credit, all requirements must be complete. Slides must include descriptions of the areas asked for, and at least one picture.
