Expectations for Hallway Planner Expectations for Hallway

Goals for Today: I can understand the expectations for the hallway. I can explain the expectations for the hallway to a partner. Talk through the goals for the day. You may even want your students to summaries what the goals for today are in their notebook.

Hallway Expectations Safety/Order Walk on the right side of the halls Keep hands and feet to yourself Keep the halls and lockers clean Use inside voices Technology is put away Hats and hoods are off during the school day Have students write the expectations in their notebook so they can reference throughout the year. Walk on the right side of the halls – We want to walk on the right side of the halls so we don’t run into anyone else. Keep hands and feet to yourself – We want to keep everyone safe so we keep our hands and feet to ourselves, so no buddy get hurt. Keep the halls and lockers clean – We have a new school and keeping everything clean helps to show our pride in our school. Use inside Voices – We need to use inside voices so we can still have learning going on, hear announcements, and other information that may need to be shared with you. Technology is put away –There is to be no technology, phones, ipods, electronic games out from 7:45 to lunch and from lunch to 2:30. You will be able to use it during lunch but any other time it needs to be put away. If someone needs to get a hold of you they can call the office and they can get you. Hats and hoods are off during the school day – We ask the hats and hoods are off for a safety. With the hats or hood off we will be able to identify you.

Hallway Expectations Achievement Carry your planners or planner card at all time Be on time to class Go directly to your next destination Carry your planners or planner card at all time – Any time other than passing you will need your planner or planner card. You need your planner in each class to help stay organize. We will use your planner as a pass for you if you need to go anywhere during class. Be on time to class – You need to be on class on time. You are in school to learn and being in class will help you be successful in the future. Go directly to your next destination – When you leave a classroom go directly to your destination and back. This way you won’t miss out on your class time.

Hallway Expectations Respect Use school appropriate language Respond appropriately to others Be courteous to those around you Use school appropriate language – We are in school, please don’t use swear words or other negative words that put people down. Respond appropriately to others – Please talk politely to others whether they are a friend, a classmate, or a teacher. Be courteous to those around you – Remember that what you like is different from someone else. Work to understand and be open-minded to others needs.
