Our Topic Learning - The Industrial Revolution/The Victorians Below is an idea of the topics we will be covering this year. If you have any expertise or resources you feel would benefit the below areas please see your child’s class teacher: - The Industrial Revolution/The Victorians - The Tudors - Natural Disasters

How can I help at home? Help your child to learn number facts (especially their times tables) Help your child to learn their spellings Listen to your child read, question them/discuss what they have read and ensure they are filling in their reading record Ask your child about their weekly ‘Big Write’ Ask if you can help with homework and help them to check for errors

Do you feel left behind when it comes to the latest Apps that your children are using? Children and young people today are using the immense power of digital media to explore, connect, create and learn in ways never before imagined. With this power, young people have extraordinary opportunities, and yet they face many potential pitfalls.

What can you do to keep your children safe online? You don’t need to be an expert on the internet to help keep your child safe online. The best advice is to keep children’s internet usage open and honest between them and yourselves. If you are concerned with your child’s safety online however please: Talk to them about it. Let your child’s class teacher and/or our E-Safety Leader (Mr Burton) know your concerns and we can work together to support your child and yourselves. Do some research: saferinternet.org.uk NSPCC.co.uk Online Safety Among many others
