Singular Subject Pronouns: Come before the verb Are the ‘doer’ of the action May replace subject nouns Singular = referring to one person or thing

Use ‘je’ when talking about yourself = I Use ‘tu’ when talking to a friend, family member or pet = you ‘il’ = he, it ‘elle’ = she, it

‘Il’ can be used to replace a boy’s name, it can also replace a masculine noun: Le livre est sur le bureau Il est sur le bureau (It is on the desk)

‘Elle’ can be used to replace a girl’s name, it can also replace a feminine noun: La calculatrice est sur le bureau Elle est sur le bureau (It is on the desk)
