F35 MILCON PROGRAM Current Highlights A very BIG THANK YOU for the CR Anomaly that funded our FY18 MILCONs. Next SATAF: April 17 – 20, 2018 at Eielson AFB PFOS/PFOA: MILCON program will stockpile suspected PFOS/PFOA contaminated soils at a long term stockpile site. Stakeholders from multiple agencies are working different methods for managing and disposal of stockpiles using O&M funds. Steel / Aluminum Tariff: On recent solicitations, Contractors are indicating a concern and risk regarding tariff; appears contingencies on this risk will be implemented by Contractors and bids will be higher. Two remaining FY17 projects (Missile Maintenance & Aircraft Weather Shelter #2) have bids higher than PA and are at risk of requiring reprogramming. Earth Covered Magazine, Consolidated Munitions Facility, and AGE Facility have been awarded to Contractors where business is located in Interior Alaska. All other Contracts awarded to Contractors with businesses located in Anchorage, Eagle River or Palmer.
