What Is Reflective Learning? * Reflective learning is a life skill for living in a democratic, forward thinking society. * Reflective learning engages students in consideration of the larger context, the meaning, and the implications of an experience, idea or action. * Reflective learning in mathematics is central to the theory of constructivism. Why Reflective Learning? * Research shows the best 'reflectors' are the best goal-setters and best learners * By sharing ideas, insights and knowledge students move to new levels of understanding * At the same time reflective learning greatly enhances the memory of ideas  Reflective Learners * Some children will come to school as intuitive reflective learners * Others come with the need for 'everyday' experience with reflection At MTSonline * Reflective learning opportunities are provided throughout the MTSonline database * They are available in the Activities as rubrics for students to use * They are available in the Teacher Notes as reflective learning questions

What Is Reflective Learning?

Many Activities Contain Reflective Rubrics and Questions on the Activity Page

The Teachers Notes Are the Key Source of Reflective Learning Focus Questions
