Setting Up Your Personal Representative Profile on the Chamber Website and in the Member Information Center

Welcome to the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce Welcome to the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce! We are thrilled to have your company as a Chamber Member. This training slideshow will guide you through setting up your personal login and password, which you will need to register for Chamber events or use the Member Information Center, and updating your Representative profile, which supplies information to the Chamber’s database. This information applies to both Primary and Secondary Representatives. This training slideshow will go at your pace. To advance to the next bit of information, just click your mouse or hit “Enter.”

A few things to keep in mind as you go through your Representative profile set up: When we speak of “Chamber Members,” we are speaking of companies. Your Company holds the Chamber membership. Individual employees of Chamber Members are referred to as “Representatives.” The first few slides are about setting up your login and password. If you have not yet set up a login and password, we’ll guide you through it! If you have already set up your login and password, simply pass by those slides and start with the slide about logging back into the Member Information Center (MIC) from the Chamber website. Here we go…

Please click on the link. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. Your Chamber Member benefits begin in your email inbox. You’ll receive a Welcome email from your Membership Sales Representative or possibly from your Primary Rep. Please open it. If you have NOT received such an email, please let us know.

The link will take you to this page.

Your default login name will be your email address. You may change your login name, but we strongly suggest you stick with your email address. Why? Because it is unlikely you will forget your email address or that you will have the same email address as another person. Choose a password and confirm it. You’ll need this every time you log in, so be sure to choose something you’ll remember. Then click “Continue.”

You did it! Next click “Login to the Member Information Center now.”

To get back into the Member Information Center from the Chamber website, simply click on “Members Login.”

Enter the username and password you chose. Click “Submit.” Forgot one or the other? Click “Forgot your username/password?”

Enter your email address and click “Get Password.” You will receive an email allowing you to reset your password. We don’t keep them and cannot reset it for you.

If you get this message, you are either using the wrong email address OR you have not set up your log in. First, go back and look for your Welcome email with the link to set up your log in. If you can’t find the email, contact us. We’re happy to help!

Read the Welcome Message, then click “Read Later” to shrink this message so you can see everything else. And you’re IN! Congratulations, you made it! This is called the Member Information Center or “MIC.”

The MIC hosts a NewsFeed displaying who has posted new items: jobs, news, discounts, etc. It’s like our own private LinkedIn or Facebook! You can comment, click thumbs up to like, etc. But more about that in another session… Take a few minutes to explore the MIC. You’ll see there are many options and features! Let’s set up your personal Representative profile.

Click on “Personal” then click on “Profile.” This page will allow you to update information about YOU. This information is not public unless you choose to make it public. You will have the opportunity to choose how much of this is shared publicly in a moment. Scroll down to see it all.

If you are the PRIMARY Rep, you’ll have access to these check boxes If you are the PRIMARY Rep, you’ll have access to these check boxes. You can go into your Secondary Rep’s profiles and reassign them as necessary. Be careful. Each Company may only have one PRIMARY Representative. If you are the PRIMARY Rep and intend to remain the PRIMARY Rep, do not uncheck this on your profile, and do not check it on anyone else’s. It is a good idea to review these periodically for all your listed Secondary Reps to ensure your Company’s information is always current. Click “Save Changes.”

Change your password here if you need to.

Let’s add a picture of you! Click the + sign.

Find your photo on your own computer. Click on the graphic you want, and the name of it will show up here. Click “Open.”

Crop and Save!

There you are! Be sure to click “Save Changes.” You’re lovely! This photo will be used in the Member Information Center when you post to the NewsFeed.

IMPORTANT IMPORTANT Be sure to click “Save Changes.” Click the check boxes for the categories of information you wish to receive and groups with which you want to be associated. IMPORTANT Go to “Groups/Interests” to customize your Chamber experience. This is how you customize your personal Chamber experience. Be sure to scroll to the bottom so you don’t miss any!

Would you like to share your social network accounts with your fellow Chamber Members or the public? Be sure to verify that these links work! Remember, your Primary Rep already shared your Company’s accounts on your Company profile. This is for your own personal accounts. Choose wisely. Be sure to click “Save Changes.”

Your privacy is important to us Your privacy is important to us. This is your opportunity to control who can access what information about you. “Display Preferences” is where YOU decide what shows about you and to whom. Make your choices and check the appropriate boxes. Be sure to click “Save Changes.”

“Linked Accounts” allows you to directly link your Chamber profile for ease of login, if you’d like.

Back on your Company’s web profile, if you have clicked to share about yourself on the public profile, there you are!

That’s it. You’re all set up That’s it! You’re all set up. You’ve got a log in and a password and updated your personal profile. Now you can register for Chamber events and use other features of the MIC! If you encounter issues or need assistance, we’re here to help!
