Challenges Differences in semester timings Fall semester is September to mid January Winter semester is mid February to mid-July Strong reason for a two semester exchange Students on one semester exchange, particularly fall, may negotiate special arrangements to complete course requirements by end of December Students on winter exchange can opt to work until February or travel in China before starting exchange Chinese New Year
