Supply the student with any text books or course materials required by the course. Assure that all student prerequisites have been met prior to enrolling students in CT Virtual Learning courses. Record grades on official transcripts and award credit.

Mentors are expected to: Make certain that students know how to access their online courses and create their pace charts. Ensure that students communicate with their online instructors weekly by asking questions and engaging in the discussion board area. Advise students to spend time reading their lessons before they try to complete their assignments. Review the students coursework, grades, progress reports, and teacher comments on a regular basis. Communicate with the online teacher directly if there are student issues that the teacher needs to be aware of.

All communication between the student and teacher is done through the course messaging system and discussion boards.
