Lufkin’s Mission and Vision Mission Statement Wake County Public School System will provide a relevant and engaging education and will graduate students who are collaborative, creative, effective communicators and critical thinkers.   Vision Statement Lufkin Road Middle School is a community of caring stakeholders that will work collaboratively to ensure that every student is prepared for the evolving future

Year Round Vocabulary Tracking In – when students are attending school Tracking Out – when students are out of school, usually tracking consists of 45 days in and then 15 days off (due to calendar and track those do vary) Teams/Tracks - each team at each grade level has a team name and track (Example: 6/4 Toucans are 6th grade students who are on Track 4 and their ‘team’ name is the Toucans) Pods - the area outside each grade level group of classrooms where students gather for meetings, etc.

Parent/Guardian Information Students may not dropped off before 7:45 AM, nor be picked up after 2:30 PM Notes should be sent with student when they return to school following an absence. The note should be taken to the front office. Get involved in our PTA - we need our parents/guardians. We LOVE having parents involved in our school. Sign up to be a volunteer in July 2018
