MILESTONES Year Milestones 1951 Incorporation of the parent company- Saurashtra Minerals Pvt. Ltd thereby establishing itself as the Pioneer mines owner and industrialist in the region. 1981 Rawmin Trade Agencies was established to export Bauxite in the international market. The efforts were rewarded with Rawmin making the maiden shipment of Bauxite to UAE during this year. 1982-1998 Rawmin continues its growth and establishes itself as a leading exporter of Cement Grade Bauxite worldwide. 1999 Rawmin effects its first Metallurgical Grade Bauxite export shipment from India to Japan. 2001-02 Rawmin is registered as a 100% Export Oriented Unit (EOU) with the Government of India. Rawmin sets up its Bauxite Beneficiation Plant at its mines near Porbandar Port to manufacture the finest quality of Beneficiated Bauxite. 2003-04 Export House Recognition Granted by the Government of India. Rawmin undertakes its export operations as a 100% Export Oriented Unit (EOU). 2004-2008 Rawmin continues its growth and establishes itself as a leading exporter of Metallurgical Grade Bauxite worldwide to various end users in Ukraine, Romania, Germany, China and Azerbaijan. 2005-2008 Rawmin undertakes detailed identification, prospecting and survey of potential Bauxite bearing areas in Raigadh, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg and Kolhapur districts of Maharashtra State. 2007 Rawmin sets up its offices in Mumbai and Goa. 2008 Rawmin executes Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Maharashtra to setup its Alumina Refinery with a captive power plant and to develop the project as a Special Economic Zone with a proposed investment of US$ 600 Million. 2010 Rawmin ventures into export of Iron Ore from Goa, India. Rawmin acquires strategic port based warehousing sites and areas for its mineral exports. 2012-2013 Rawmin continues its Bauxite export operations on a larger scale by successfully performing shipments in Capesize and Panamax Vessels at Porbandar Port. 2014 Rawmin achieves its highest ever export sales turnover.
