My Priorities as Director Establish relationships with stakeholders Be visible and accessible Clear lines of communication Collaborate with families and community partners Increase efficiency of the Office of Special Education Be responsive to student and stakeholder needs Professional development and learning Develop a strategic plan for improvement Focus on instruction, learning, and achievement

Vision The vision for the Office of Special Education is to become a model department of seamless student advocacy, school support, and family engagement.

Advice Shared With Teachers in August Always put students first, always do what is best for kids Challenge yourself Be flexible, think creatively Hold high expectations for your students Ask questions and use your resources Collaborate, work with your team Know your standards Be well-planned, focus on instruction Communicate clearly with families Stick to your timelines Have fun (remember, you have the best job)!
